Educational Qualification for ASHA Recruitment

Candidate should be literate with formal education of at least 8th class for rural area. She should have effectiive communication skills with language fluency of the area/population. She is expected to coover and have good leadership qualities & be able to reach out to the community.

Criteria for Selection of ASHA Worker

The candidate must be a woman resident of the ward/village/area for which she has applied for.
She should be preferably Married/Widow/Divorced/Separated.
She must be in the age group between 25 to 45 years on or before 31-12-2024.
She should be literate with formal education of at least 8th class for rural area.
She should have effective communication skills with language fluency of the area/population she is expected to cover and have good leadership qualities& be able to reach out to the community.
She should have family & social support to enable her to find the time to carry out her tasks.

Selection Process for Recruitment of ASHA

The selction will be made on the basis of direct interview at respective area. ASHA will be a health activist in the community who will create awareness on health and its social determinations and mobileze the community towards local health planning nad increased utilization and accountability of existing health servics.
