Essential Qualifications for Waqf Member Recruitment

(i) Must possess a degree in law and having knowledge of Muslim Law and jurisprudence. (ii) Preference shall be given to the Senior Advocate having knowledge of the Muslim Law, Waqf matters and having experience not less than 20 years.

Mode of Selection & Other Conditions

The Selection of candidates shall be made by the Committee constituted by the Government. An advocate appointed as a Member shall be deemed to be a public servant and shall be governed by the terms and conditions as may be applicable. Advocate appointed as a Member shall not be entitled to practice in any courts of Law till he/she holds office as a Member of Waqf Tribunal

Age Limit for Waqf Member Recruitment

Between 45 and 58 years. (The candidate applying for the post must not be less than 45 years of age on the date of submission of his/her application).
